Zadar City Walls

Sea Organ

Hear the music of the ocean at the Sea Organ. This art installation was built in 2005. Large marble steps lead to the water, and when waves break over the steps they play music through cleverly designed vents in the stone. Don't miss the nearby Greeting to the Sun, a solar-powered lighting display made by the same artist.

Archaeological Museum

Learn more about the city's long and complicated history at the Archaeological Museum. This museum displays artifacts from Zadar's prehistoric period all the way up to medieval times. Airport

Zadar Airport connects the city to the capital, Zagreb, and other cities throughout Europe. Planes fly to Zadar from the UK, Belgium, Germany, France, and other destinations in the summer.

Bus

There’s a network of bus routes you can use to navigate the city. The Zadar bus station and train stations are right next to each other and close to the city center. Croatian trains aren’t as busy, but a long-distance bus is a popular way to get around. You can reach Zadar by bus from Zagreb, Pula, Split, and other cities further afield. For buses inside the city, tickets cost about €1.50.

Bike

Zadar is a city that’s easy to walk around but if you want to speed things up a bit you can choose to take a bike. There are bike rental services available inside the city and prices start at about €17.00 per day. The price will vary depending on how many days you rent the bike for. Prices may be higher during peak tourist season.

Taxi

Taxis can also be used to get between landmarks in Zadar. On average, the price for a taxi from the airport to the Old Town is about €20.00. When using the taxis, it’s important to confirm the meter is on when you get in.
