About the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Architect Richard Morris Hunt collaborated with Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould to build the Met in 1874. The building houses more than two million art pieces and features permanent collections from around the world. The Met also has a massive film archive.
