Until the 1900s, the only way merchandise could be sold was by boat, and this Pattaya market has kept history alive for tourists and the locals who sell their wares. Go for a boat ride, zipline across the river, see a live music show or watch Thai boxers fight on a log in the water.

This is the Dollar Store in Pattaya. In fact, it’s less than a dollar because a baht is only 36 cents in US dollars. This colorful and fun store has all kinds of things for under a buck, from batteries to scissors and birthday decorations to socks.
